Welcome to Big Blue #116, a Landmark Vacation Rentals home! From the moment you cross the bridge onto Topsail Island you’ll notice Big Blue on the water ready to welcome you to the vacation of a lifetime! The grandest house on Topsail Island, Big Blue has it ALL and is your own private, mini-resort for your next blow out intergenerational family vacation, reunion, wedding, church retreat, corporate outing, or guys or girls trip! Featuring a private in-house full screen movie theater with stadium seating, pool table, two private salt water pools, multiple oceanfront decks with ample seating, built-in gas grill, and plenty of space to gather for meals and family time on the top floor! Another great feature of Big Blue is the elevator which stops at all floors and comes in handy for guests with mobility issues or for bringing in your luggage and groceries.

You will never run out of things to do at Big Blue. Located right on the ocean, you will have a private beach access right from the house down to the beautiful sandy beach of Topsail Island. After a fun day on the beach, clean up is easy with the outdoor shower. You can soak up the sun on one of the many decks or cool off with a dip in one of two salt water pools located on the oceanfront deck. If you need a break from the sun, you can enjoy a fun game of pool down in the game room or watch your favorite movie in the private, in-home movie theater with seating for 18! This main level theater/game room area is equipped with an additional refrigerator, wet bar, and half bathroom.

This home has 10 bedrooms, each with an en suite bathroom and TV. Eight of the ten bedrooms feature a king-sized bed. One bedroom has four twin bunkbeds that can sleep 8 comfortably, and the other bedroom has one twin bunk bed and a twin bed with twin trundle underneath which sleeps a total of 4! The middle floor features 7 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms, and the top floor has 3 bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms, as well as a massive kitchen and living room. The kitchen features a huge island, double ovens, large refrigerator, two coffee pots (a Keurig and a drip coffee pot), beverage fridge, and ice maker! Everyone can enjoy meals together with ample room for seating at the island or the two large tables in the dining area. This floor also has a comfortable family room with multiple large sofas, huge TV, and fireplace. Big Blue is located in the heart of Surf City, so you are within walking distance to the Surf City Pier and many local restaurants, coffee houses, bars, and gift shops. There is absolutely something for everyone at this spectacular mini-resort!

Hulu and Live TV are included with your stay, and guests may login to their other streaming accounts on the Roku TVs.

Please note: Special Events are allowed, please contact Landmark Vacation Rentals to inquire about a special event and pricing. Guests may park up to 3 vehicles in the spacious 3-car garage and the driveway can accommodate 3 more vehicles. We're sorry, but pets are not allowed at this home. Smoking is also prohibited inside. There is no landline telephone in this home. This home is equipped with a keyless door lock and guests will be emailed and texted their unique door code prior to their check-in.

Provided With Your Stay: Bath Towels, Hand Towels and Washcloths, Bath Mats, and Kitchen Linens are provided. Beds will be made upon your arrival. Please note all top bunks and trundles will not be made. A First Night Amenity Kit which includes: Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Trash Bags and More will be waiting for you! Professional cleaning service is provided after every guest stay.

The online calendar allows for bookings 16 months in advance but guests are also welcome to call Landmark Vacation Rentals to reserve up to 24 months in advance. This was a great house in a great location! A lot of space for our group of 17. The management company was very responsive and helpful throughout/ from getting us ready for the stay, to a brief internet glitch, an extra cleaning we requested, and helping with parking!

We had 16 friends and family from AR, FL, MO , & NC. We celebrated birthdays, anniversaries, & just being together. Have booked for 2024. Big Blue is in the perfect location (beach, parking, shopping, dining). The fully equipped kitchen makes meal prep for large groups a breeze. Big plus for our group is bathroom in every bedroom. Landmark is very customer oriented and stands ready to try and take care of any property issues. Thank you Big Blue property owner and Landmark for offering such a great vacation rental.

We had a wonderful time at our first stay at Surf City. The location , beach wise, is hard to beat! There is a very loud live music place ( Scallywags) that faces the garage side bedrooms that plays music till 11, which made it hard for little children in our party to sleep. The elevator was not functioning but rental group addressed that with us appropriately. Its a great house full of amenities that we all enjoyed and a perfect place for large families . Kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need . Pricing is very fair compared to other beaches we have been to . Wd had a great time .

Note: Be very careful with all railing areas with small children , some of them are loose and house definitely needs some repair with those areas .

This is our second time staying at Big Blue. If you like to be close to restaurants, grocery stores and all the excitement you’ll love it here. The house is perfect for our family although the family room area is quite small for the number of people. But we don’t spend much time inside so it’s sure not a deal breaker. The beds were super comfortable and there were lots of pillows! It’s nice to have the linens and towels all there for us as our family traveled from all over the country to gather. There’s a neat bar right across the street if you like the nightlife. However they do have live music until 11 or so on the weekends which may keep you from sleeping. Landmark responded quickly to all our requests. I would highly recommend this place for your large family gatherings!

Pros: Amazing location. A 30 second walk to a great Taco Joint. Only 3 blocks to the local grocery. Live music nearby most nights with no driving. Great views of ocean and sunset on that top walk. Lots of flexibility in rooms. Probably the least required work to leave a beach rental we have enjoyed. Huge kitchen that was able to feed our 26 nightly without issue. THE GRILL WAS AMAZING. So often the grills are poor after thoughts in these rentals. This one was huge, hot, effective and so nice to grill while staring at the ocean. We were nervous about the outdoor live music across the street behind the house, but it really did not impact us at all. Kids slept well in those back rooms, even during the shows. The small pool was a miracle worker for the little ones who struggled with the waves on the beach. It was used daily, for hours, and being fairly shallow there was no worries for the kids. Cons: Take it for what you want, but there are lots of stairs. The elevator was good for my 85 year old parents, and hauling stuff in/out at check ins etc. For those who did not want to wait, which was most of us, we were able to run the stairs and skip any sort of leg day activities. The small trash can seemed to fill up 4 times a day, and was so far at end of counter it could be frustrating. I suggest using a small cardboard box for recycling and turning the recycle can into trash and putting it at the other end of the counter. The kitchen is well stocked with everything but leftover storage for food. Not a tupperware container in sight. We ended up buying a handful for leftover storage. If you have them at home, pack them for your trip.Landmark Rentals: The company was very responsive to questions and problems. A loose exterior stair rail was repaired within 20 minutes of the call. Questions about check in was resolved with a call back that made life simpler. The house layout diagram shows 5 cars in garage, but really it is 4 cars and a ping pong table. We were able to park 9 cars (several single 20 something grandkids traveling in) tho by parallel parking 2 of them behind the ones in the driveway.

We have four families and several singles staying for a total of 23 people. This home really accommodates all needs plus provides space for separation. Amenities are perfect and you cannot beat the location - very close to restaurants, bars, and the only grocery on the island.

We love Topsail Island and Big Blue! Lots of space for our whole crew, lots of options to keep kids from 2-82 entertained both inside and out at the property, lots of options for eating and shopping within walking distance, great beach front, nice viewing for both dolphins and surfers. Big Blue is a winner in our book!
