On New Year’s Day, people from around the world will gather for the Dolphin Dip Extravaganza on the beach in Surf City, to start the new year with a plunge into the Atlantic Ocean!
At noon, a horn sounds and thousands of people shrieking with delight run into the ocean to “wash away” the previous year. It’s fun and exhilarating.
The festivities kick off at the Roland Avenue Beach Access at 11am on January 1, 2024. You may see dinosaurs, belly dancers, and lots of awesome costumes. The Dip happens at NOON sharp!
There is no cost to attend. It’s FREE for the whole family – including your pets.
Whether you plan to jump in or not, come on out and enjoy the entertainment. And, if you come early enough, you may even to get to see actual dolphins swimming just off the pier.
